\nI am reaching out as a resident of the City of Peekskill and on behalf of the Peekskill City School District. I would like to thank you for supporting the proposed Senate and Assembly budget which increases Foundation Aid for NYS schools and fully funds the Foundation Aid Formula over the next three years. This funding is CRITICAL to maintaining the programs and services our children need to be successful. In addition, I thank you for resisting proposed STAR cuts and Services Aid consolidation, which would have had a harmful impact on our students.<\/p>\n

I stand with you in raising revenue for this forward-looking budget through slight marginal increases on corporations and earners above $1 million. This is a fair distribution of the tax burden and an investment in our state\u2019s strength.<\/p>\n

Finally, I call on you to resist supplanting badly needed federal funds with state aid. Thank you for doing what is right and equitable for our students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
